Description

Continue to make shapes, batching, blending, weft control, joining, and learn more about design and Soumak. Students must bring their looms from the Level 1 course or a small pipe loom they have built. Appropriate for beginners with some knowledge of warping or for those who have taken the Level 1 tapestry course.

Supply List:

Small yarn balls, 2-4 oz., Cotton blend or wool yarn, size: worsted weight 4, to bulky 5, or cone 10-12 ply (all these are about the same thickness just different ways to measure). 4 contrasting colors so you can easily see your work (you can do more color choices if you like). Avoid slippery yarns or overly stretchy yarns. If you want to try fun novelty yarns that's great, avoid slippery yarns. Buy nice quality yarn, this is your art and nice yarn makes a difference.

One or two chop sticks for "beating" yarn down.

Scissors, and one ring/hoop, 6” or larger, macramé ring will work, or cross stitch hoop, any kind of sturdy ring will do.

Tapestry/Darning Needle

Warp will be provided.

There is only one opening remaining at this time.
