Interested in learning how to podcast? Join us for a three-part workshop to learn the end-to-end workflows of creating your very own podcast. Dive into planning, production, and publishing while learning the tricks to make a professional-sounding podcast. If you’re new to podcasting or need help developing your current podcast, this course is for you. Day 1- Getting Started on your Podcast • Examine industry examples of podcasts and best practices • Overview of how podcasts work and podcast anatomy (metadata, cover art, media) • Introduction of equipment and software • Hands-On Time: Record podcasts (Everyone records one episode of their podcast) Day 2 – Production and Editing Your Podcast • Round robin discussion on lessons learned from the students on their recordings • Go over in-depth metadata and cover art • Learn how to edit a podcast episode using free tools such as intros and outros • Hands-On Time: Edit podcasts using GarageBand or Audacity (Everyone finishes their episode edit, completes cover art, and metadata outlines for publishing) Day 3 – Production and Editing Your Podcast • Round robin discussion on designing the first podcast episode • Learn what online publishing options there are and how to publish to them (Anchor, Spotify, PodBean, etc.) • Share podcast with the class • Hands-On Time: Upload, edit, and publish your podcast
