For first-time buyers, we will discuss where and what type of banjo to buy, the heads, picks, capos, straps, tuners, and accessories. Regarding maintaining, we cover adjusting the bridge, tightening the head, installing a fifth string capo, cleaning, muting, what truss and coordinator rods are and how to adjust them, changing strings, and tuning. Once you have this basic information, you’ll be ready to learn to play a quality, fine-tuned instrument.
